Elderly man is punched in the face by a woman in sickening unprovoked attack at Milton Keynes station

British Transport police are searched for a woman captured on CCTV following a sick assault at CMK station.

An elderly man was in the lift at the station when he was assaulted for no reason by a female.

He was punched in the face and, though shocked, was thankfully not seriously injured, say officers.

It is not believed anything was stolen in the attack.

Today British Transport police have released two CCTV images of a woman they want to speak to in connection with the assault.

They are urging people to contact them if they recognise the woman or if they saw her at the rail station at the time of the incident, which happened at around 4.10pm on August 6.

The woman was wearing a blue mask and was laden with shopping bags.

A British Transport Police spokesman said: "Officers believe the woman in the CCTV images may have information which could help their investigation.

"If you recognise her, please contact BTP by texting 61016 or calling 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 341 of 06/08/20."
