The family of a late six-year-old girl is urging thieves to return sentimental items stolen during a burglary in Newport Pagnell.

Sometime between March 11 and April 15, thieves got into the family’s home which was being renovated in Elthorne Way.

They stole a bag, given to the family by funeral directors, which contained personal items including a silver bracelet with ‘daughter’ engraved inside, a lock of their daughters hair tied with a pink ribbon, bereavement cards and a gold cross on a chain. An Amazon Kindle was also in the bag.

PC Susan Russell of Newport Pagnell police station said: “The victim is keen to get these items back and asks that they be left at Newport Pagnell station.”

Anyone with information can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
