Girl, 14, grabbed and robbed of her phone in Milton Keynes

Police are appealing for witnesses following the robbery

The incident took place in Broughton Linear Park, near Duffield Bank in Broughton on Sunday, 16 September, at about 12.10am.

The victim, a 14-year-old girl, was walking along Mandeville Drive when she saw two teenage boys waiting at a bus stop.

They crossed the road to be in front of her and began walking in the same direction as the victim.

The boys then stopped walking, so the victim walked past them, into Broughton Linear Park.

As she approached the lake, the boys ran up behind her and one of them grabbed her, putting his hand over her mouth.

The victim bit the offender’s hand and he let go. One of the boys then demanded her phone, which she handed over.

The offenders then left the scene in different directions.

The victim sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident.

The offenders were aged between 15 and 17. The first boy is about 5ft 6ins tall with an average build. He was wearing a black, woollen balaclava, a dark coloured jacket and dark tracksuit trousers.

The second boy was also about 5ft 6ins tall with an average build. He was wearing a dark hooded top, which was up over his head so his face could not be seen. There was graffiti style lettering on the back of the top and he was also wearing dark tracksuit trousers.

One of the offenders was wearing Nike trainers.

Investigating officer, detective constable Christopher Bigg said: “This was an extremely distressing incident for the victim, and we are in the process of carrying out a full investigation into it.

“I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this or who has any information which they think could be relevant.
