Hospital chapel thief charged with burglaries

A man who stole from the Milton Keynes General Hospital chapel and Willen Hospice has been charged after a series of burglaries and frauds.

Stephen Edhouse, 44, of no fixed abode, has been charged with four counts of burglary and three counts of fraud in the Milton Keynes area, including the theft of money from the chapel between February 5 and 6.

He also stole money, bank cards and ID documents from Camphill Community Centre in Willen Park on February 5 before stealing a purse and diary from an office in Stantonbury School on the same day.

On February 25 he stole a mobile phone from an office at Willen Hospice.

Two of the fraud charges relate to Mr Edhouse using the stolen bank cards in Tesco, Springfield on February 5 with the third taking place in the same store on February 25.

He was also charged with burglaries in Hertfordshire and Warwickshire.

He is due to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on Friday.
