Lorry driver hijacked and held at knifepoint in Milton Keynes as robbers steal 200 TVs worth over £136,000

Police are appealing for witnesses following a robbery which occurred in Milton Keynes.

The incident happened last Tuesday (October 6th) in Fen Street, Magna Park as well as Sherbourne Drive, Tilbrook between about 2am and 3am.

A 58-year-old man was driving a lorry when he was approached in Magna Park by a group of men who pulled him from his cab and then assaulted him by hitting him in the face.

They then forced him back into the cab at knife point and one of the offenders drove the vehicle from the Magna Park area to Tilbrook while the victim was held against his will.

The offenders then unloaded more than 200 televisions, with a total value of more than £136,000 into another vehicle before driving it away from the scene. There is currently no description available of the other vehicle.

The victim sustained a hairline fracture to his eye socket. He was taken to hospital for treatment but has since been discharged.

No arrests have yet been made.

There were about five offenders, who were all male and dressed in black, wearing hoods and gloves. One of them was wearing a hi-vis vest.

Investigating officer, PC Jo Hudson, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “This robbery has resulted in a man needing hospital treatment and a significant number of televisions being stolen.

“I would like to appeal to anyone with any information relating to this to please get in contact with us.
