M1 road victim named as Nathan Reeves

At least one of the victims of a fatal road traffic collision is understood to be from Newport Pagnell.

The incident happened at 6.46am on Saturday, between Junction 12 and 13 on the M1 in Bedfordshire, when a double decker coach was in collision with a hatchback car which was stationary on the hard shoulder.

Three men in the car were pronounced dead at the scene and a third man was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, with serious injuries.

One of the deceased is understood to be Nathan Reeves, 23, while it is believed the other deceased are also from the Milton Keynes area.

No one in the coach, which was travelling from Kent, was hurt.

Police are locating and liaising with next of kin, a full collision investigation continues and diversions are expected to remain in place for the next few hours.
