Man, 64, convicted of bigamy in Milton Keynes

A 64-year-old man has been fined for having a bigamous marriage in MK.

David Proctor, of Napier Street in Bletchley, appeared before city magistrates charged with going through a form of marriage when he already had a legal wife.

The marriage took place in Milton Keynes on September 15 2019, the court heard.

Mr Proctor, who pleaded guilty to the offence, was fined £884 and ordered to pay £85 costs. He was further ordered to pay a surcharge to victim services of £84.

His guilty plea was taken into account when imposing the sentence.
