Man and woman seriously assaulted while walking home from the pub in Milton Keynes

A man and a woman both suffered head injuries after being pushed into a busy road while walking home from a night out in Newport Pagnell.

The female victim was pushed so heavily that she lost several teeth due to the impact, say police.

She and her male companion had been to the Bull pub in Tickford Street and were towards the High Street at around 10.20pm on Friday night.

They were approached by three men and possibly a woman.

The men began arguing with the male victim before pushing him into the road.

The female was also pushed into the road, causing her to hit her face on the ground.

Both sustained head injuries and the female needed hospital treatment. She has since been discharged.

The first offender is described as a white man in his late teens to mid-twenties, wearing a grey jacket and grey bottoms. Another of the offenders was also white and around the same age. He was wearing a black jacket.

Investigating officer PC Hayley Byrne, said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this incident, which was a frightening experience for the victims.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area around this time, and who thinks they may have information, to come forward and speak to the police.

“I am also appealing to anyone who was driving in the area to check their dash-cam footage and to get in touch if they think this footage would aid our investigation.
