Man arrested for assault after 'isolated incident' sees road sealed off on Milton Keynes estate

A large police presence on a city estate this morning was due to an one-off incident that has now resulted in an arrest, say officers.

Part of Beadlemead in Netherfield was closed off to walkers and traffic by police earlier this morning.

Residents reported a large amount of police officers, vans and police cars.

A police spokesman has now given an update.

He said: "We would like to reassure you that this was an isolated incident and there is no wider danger to the public."

A 30-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and he remains in police custody at this time.
