Man assaulted on Conniburrow bridge

Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses after a 35-year-old man was assaulted in Conniburrow last week.

At about 2pm, last Tuesday, the victim walked past a group of 16-18-year-olds, who were near to Coltsfoot Place in Conniburrow. The group followed him onto the over bridge leading towards North Row, where he was then assaulted by two of the youths.

The victim sustained a cut and bruised lip and a swollen nose in the assault.

The group was made up of about five youths, three were white and two were black. Four of the group had skate boards with them, one of the black youths had a BMX bike. There is no further description of them.

The victim was wearing a green baseball cap, a white short-sleeved shirt, dark blue jeans, and was carrying a brown cord bag.
