A man was hospitalised after a burglary in an underpass near Bancroft on Tuesday.

At 3.30pm the man and a friend, both 25, were cycling and stopped in the underpass under the H2 Millers Way between Bancroft and Blue Bridge.

Two men, one white and one mixed race, approached them and the white man punched one of the victims in the head five or six times, before trying to steal his bike, but he held on.

The mixed race man attacked the second victim outside the underpass, before the white offender stole the second victim’s bike.

The first victim then chased the men on his own bike, but when he caught up them he fell off suffering head injuries, before being kicked in the head by the offenders.

The first man is white, between 18 and 20-years-old, 5ft 10ins tall, slim with blonde or light brown hair and brown eyes. He was wearing a grey hooded top with a full zip and pull cords by the hood. The hooded top was orange in colour around the zip and hood. He was also wearing a white t-shirt, plain grey bottoms and trainers.

The second is mixed race, aged 18 to 20-years-old, 5ft 8ins tall and overweight, with short black curly hair and brown eyes. He was dressed all in black, including a full zipped hooded top, bottoms and trainers.

The stolen bike is a white Mongoose mountain bike with front and rear disc brakes.

Both of the victims suffered facial injuries and the victim who came off his bike went to Milton Keynes General Hospital with head injuries. He has since been released from hospital.
