Man in hospital after being stabbed in the back in Milton Keynes underpass

A man in his forties in in hospital after he was assaulted in a city underpass.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened between midnight and 6.30am on Sunday.

The victim was walking through the underpass between Westcroft and Oxley Park when he was approached by two men who assaulted him.

Police say he sustained a wound to his back "consistent with having been caused by a knife"

He is currently still receiving hospital treatment.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Matt Acland, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “We are appealing for witnesses to this incident, or anyone who has any information, to please come forward.

“Thames Valley Police treats violent crime with the utmost priority and is committed to reducing knife enabled crime and bringing offenders to justice.
