Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after a robbery in Fishermead.

The incident happened at 9.10pm on Sunday, August 14, when a 20-year-old man was walking across the overbridge between the Xscape complex and the Fishermead estate.

As he walked across the bridge, an unknown man shouted to him from behind, telling him to hand over his money.

The man ignored him and carried on walking, but then offender shouted once again for him to hand over his money and threatened to stab him.

The man stopped and handed over his wallet that contained £60. The robber took the money and threw the wallet on the floor before walking off in the direction of Fishermead.

The man is described as white, approximately 20-years-old, about 5ft 9ins, with a slim build and very short, dark brown hair. He was wearing a T-shirt and trousers.

Det Con Wendy Cissell said: “Although a threat was made regarding a knife, no actual knife was seen during the robbery.

“I would like to speak to anyone who was in the area who may have seen this man, both before the incident or after he left the scene of the robbery.”

Anyone with information should contact Det Con Cissell via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Line on 0845 8 505 505. Alternatively, you can contact the Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555 111.
