Men armed with screwdrivers threaten taxi driver in Milton Keynes

Police have appealed for witnesses after a bizarre attack on a taxi by men brandishing screwdrivers.

The culprits allegedly forced the taxi to do an emergency stop on a city grid road, then scratched the cab windscreen with screwdrivers before opening the door and threatening the driver.

The incident happened between 9pm and 9.30pm on March 7 on the V8 Marlborough Street near Peartree Bridge and the men were driving a small black Seat car.

They stopped suddenly, forcing the taxi to brake to a halt behind them.

Nobody was injured during the incident but police are asking for any witnesses to call them on 101 quoting reference 43200078528.

A 22-year-old man and a 26-year-old man from Milton Keynes have been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage, possession of an offensive weapon and a public order offence. They have been released under investigation.
