Milton Keynes man charged with cyber crime offences

A 20-year-old man has been charged with cyber crime offences following an investigation by the South East Regional Organised Crime Unit.

Liam Keenan, of Century Avenue, Milton Keynes, was charged on August 12, with the following:

- Between January 14, and March 13, he committed unauthorised acts with intent to impair operation of or prevent / hinder access to a computer contrary to section 3(1) and (6) of the Computer Misuse Act 1990.

- On February 21 he sent a letter / communication / article conveying a threatening message contrary to section 1(1)(a) and (4) of the Malicious Communications Act 1988.

He was released on bail, and is due to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates Court on September 21.
