Milton Keynes man guilty of murdering 15-year-old schoolboy in planned execution

A 19-year-old man from Bletchley has today been found guilty of stabbing a schoolboy to death.

Nehemie Tampwo, who lives in Fern Grove, was one of a gang of four who viciously stabbed 15-year-old Keelan Wilson more than 40 times.

The gang-related killing happened in Wolverhampton in May 2018 and the investigation by West Midlands police has been long and complex.

Today, following a lengthy trial, a jury found Tampwo and his three fellow gang members Brian Sasa, Tyrique King and Zenay Pennant-Phillips guilty of murder. They will be sentenced next month.

The court previously heard the attack was pre-planned and the four offenders acted like a 'pack of animals'.

Investigating officer Detective Inspector Nick Barnes said: “Keelan’s death was unnecessary and tragic. He was brutally murdered by a group who of young men who chose to carry knives."

He added: “It’s a tragic reality that we’ve seen an increasing number of young people who decide to carry weapons. Our message is clear, if you carry a knife you are likely to use it. The consequences are truly devastating and those responsible are now facing lengthy prison sentences.

“Keelan was a child who had his whole life ahead of him. His loss is felt by many, the shocking amount of violence on our streets was senseless and completely incomprehensible.

“Our investigation has been incredibly complex and it’s taken some time to get those responsible charged and put through the court process. However, throughout, we shared the same desire as Keelan’s family, to bring them to justice."
