Former Love Island star Malin Andersson has today shared photos of the injuries that landed her abusive ex-boyfriend in jail.

Malin, 27, who is from Milton Keynes, suffered a broken hand, cut cheek and bloody nose in the attack, which she says was one episode in a campaign of physical and mental abuse.

Tom Kemp, 29, was jailed by an Aylesbury Crown Court judge for 10 months on Thursday after admitting the assault.

The couple had an on-off romance and split last year, just months after they sadly lost their premature-born baby daughter.

In June last year Malin spoke out about the abusive relationship on social media, saying: "I will NOT be another victim to domestic violence, I will not be beaten mentally or physically when I've fought through so much worse than this."

She described herself as "exhausted, heartbroken and confused", and urged her followers to "listen to your gut and learn to love yourself."

And she described how Kemp was a "fine example of a narcissistic man".

Malin ended her post with the number for the Women's Aid National Domestic Violence Helpline.

At the time Kemp denied he had been abusive, saying: "She’s a liar, with mental health issues, she would do whatever it takes to be in the public eye."

Today sources say Malin is relieved the "nightmare" is over and Kemp is behind bars.
