Milton Keynes man sentenced for harassing police officer

A Milton Keynes man has been sentenced for harassing and threatening an officer following a police investigation.

Thames Valley Police (TVP) said Aaron Clifford, of Roveley Court, was found guilty of one count of harassment by a district judge on Wednesday (October 14) at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court.

Officers said Clifford, aged 39, was sentenced on the same day to 12 weeks’ imprisonment suspended for 12 months and was given a restraining order against his victim.

TVP said the sentence relates to incidents that took place between July 20 - 22 2019, when Clifford repeatedly phoned a Thames Valley Police officer and verbally harassed and threatened them.

Police sergeant Catherine Story said: “I am happy with the outcome of this case but more importantly it demonstrates that positive action will be taken against those that feel it is acceptable to harass, abuse and threaten police officers or PCSOs”.
