Police appeal after dog injured in hit and run

A pet dog is fighting for its life after a hit and run road collision on Tuesday morning.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the collision between the V6 Grafton Street roundabout and the V4 Watling Street roundabout at 7.15am.

The cream and tan Staffordshire Bull Terrier was knocked down near the junction of Redmoor’s Wimblington Drive by a vehicle,

The dog was left with “life threatening” injuries and is currently receiving treatment at Milton Keynes Veterinary Group’s Walnut Tree Hospital.

Police are keen to speak to the driver of the vehicle that hit the dog and any witnesses that saw the collision.

PC Liz Johnson from Milton Keynes Roads Policing said: “Police wish to speak to a white Ford Transit flatbed van with side mesh travelling along the road at time of collision.”
