Police conduct house to house enquiries tonight after disturbing incident involving boy and strange man in Milton Keynes

A white van driver who approached a boy and spoke to him in a city street has prompted a house to house police enquiry tonight.

Thames Valley Police released scant details of the incident 15 minutes ago.

A spokesman said TVP was aware of a report this evening that at around 6.45pm a man approached a boy in Gloucester Road, Wolverton.

"The man spoke to the boy and then drove away in a white van," he added.

Police have not revealed what the man said to the boy, or how old either party was. But they say the youngster was not injured during this incident.

The spokesman said: "Officers are investigating and are currently conducting house to house enquiries.

"We are treating this as an isolated incident and officers will continue to be in the local area."
