Police explain heightened activity in Milton Keynes last night

Police in Milton Keynes have explained why there was heightened activity from their officers last night.

Police patrols were out in MK yesterday evening.

And it was to provide residents with information leaflets containing burglary prevention tips.

The force did not state whether it was off the back of a spike in burglaries in the area.

But they did say they were on the lookout for suspicious activity.

"Patrols have been completed this evening with information leaflets put through letter boxes of homes that may benefit from a few burglary prevention tips," a police spokesman said.

"We’re in the area and on the look out for suspicious activity."
