Police hunt large gang of men armed with machetes or swords following violent assault in Milton Keynes

A man in his twenties was taken to hospital after being wounded by a group of men armed with machetes or swords.

Police say the attackers were part of a group of up to 12 men who were all dressed in dark colours and wearing dark face coverings.

The men were armed with weapons, thought to be swords or machetes.

Their victim was walking in Daniels Welch on Coffee Hall on Wednesday last week (July 15) when he was approached by the group at around 12.45pm.

Four of the men chased the victim towards Robins Hill where he was assaulted, resulting in lacerations to the top of his head and legs.

His injuries required hospital treatment at the Milton Keynes University Hospital, from where he has since been discharged.

The offenders are all described as young black men, wearing dark clothing and face coverings.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Alex Kiljan, based at Milton Keynes police station said: “I am appealing for anyone who has any information relating to this incident to come forward.
