Police hunt man who held woman at knifepoint during broad daylight robbery in Milton Keynes underpass

Police are hunting for a man who held a woman in her twenties at knifepoint in a Milton Keynes underpass, forced her to bank transfer cash and threatened her later over the phone

Thames Valley Police (TVP) said the incident happened between 11am and 11.30am on Wednesday (November 11).

Officers said the woman was walking through the Willen Roundabout underpass leading towards Willen Park when she was approached by the man.

Police said the man pulled out a knife and demanded the victim hand over her phone. The attacker then asked the woman to log into her mobile banking app and told her to transfer money to another account. He also took her phone number and called her later that day threatening her and demanding she transfer more money.

TVP said money was taken from the victim's bank account but nothing else was stolen and the victim was not injured.

The offender is described as a slim, white man in his mid-thirties who is around 5ft 10in tall. Police said he has brown spiky hair, was wearing a black leather jacket, blue jeans and a black facemask. He also spoke with a northern accent.

Investigating officer PC Jo Hudson: “This was a frightening incident for the victim, and I am asking for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or may have seen the man described in the area at the time to please get in touch.
