Police investigate mysterious man in white van after incident involving child on Milton Keynes street

Police are conducting house to house enquiries following a disturbing incident involving a stranger and a child last night.

Thames Valley Police have released scant details of the incident, which happened around 6.45pm yesterday (Wednesday) in Gloucester Road, Wolverton.

They say a man "spoke" to a boy in the street before driving away in a white van.

They have not revealed details of what was said, or whether an attempt was made to grab the child. But officer were concerned enough last night to start knocking on doors around the area to ask if residents had witnessed anything.

Police have not revealed how old the boy was but t they say he was not injured during this incident.

A police spokesman said: "Officers are investigating and are currently conducting house to house enquiries. We are treating this as an isolated incident and officers will continue to be in the local area."
