Police investigate nine reports of people breaking new Covid regulations in Milton Keynes today

Nine reports of non-compliance with Covid regulations have been received by MK police over the past 24 hours.

Officers have pledged to investigate each one of them, on top of their usual daily workload.

This morning (Tuesday) the MK team started its shift with three reports of residential burglaries, all of which happened over the past 24 hours.

During the same period, 21 domestic crimes and five sexual offences have been reported in the city.

There are also three reports of assaults occasioning actual bodily harm to investigate and one report of race/hate crime.

One suspect was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been bailed with conditions for further enquiries. Another has been charged with assault by beating.and remanded to appear at court.

Early turn officers also have started their shift this morning with nine ongoing missing person investigations and four people in custody.

These detainees are being held on suspicion of offences including revenge porn, false imprisonment, domestic assault, false imprisonment and possession with intent to supply Class A drugs.

Police are also helping MK Council and neighbourhood teams deal with one unauthorised encampment of travellers currently in MK,
