Police are urging the public to help them find a man they want to speak to in connection with a burglary.
Peter Gilheaney, 29, is wanted in connection with a burglary in Stamford Avenue, Springfield, between 12.30pm and 1pm on April 19 last year.
He is suspected as being one of two people who forced their way into a property and stole jewellery before fleeing the scene in an Audi S4 stolen from the same address.
Officers attended the scene and tried to stop the car from leaving, but due to the dangerous manner in which it was being driven they couldn’t and it was later recovered.
He is white, 5ft 10ins, with a slim build and speaks with a southern Irish accent. At the time of the offence he had short, dark hair.
Detective Constable Paul Lilley said: “We are very keen to trace Gilheaney and have made numerous efforts to do so. We are now appealing for the public’s help to locate him.
“I would urge anyone who knows of his whereabouts to come forward and speak with us immediately.
“Gilheaney has links with the Traveller community and the Cambridgeshire area.
“Members of the public should not approach Gilheaney if they see him, and are advised to contact police immediately.”
Any witnesses can call police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
