Both offenders then fled on foot in the direction of Plowman Close after taking a smartphone and small amount of cash.

One of the offenders was a white man, around 5ft 6ins tall and was dressed in blue tracksuit bottoms and hooded top. He was also carrying a blue man bag.

Hours earlier, between 11am and 11.30am, a woman was walking through the Willen Roundabout underpass leading towards Willen Park when she was approached by a man.

Police said the offender pulled out a knife and demanded the victim hand over her phone. He then asked the woman to log into her mobile banking app and told her to transfer money to another account. He also took her phone number and called her later that day threatening her and demanding she transfer more money.

It is not known whether police are connecting the two offences.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Matthew Acland, of Milton Keynes police station, is asking if anybody recognises the man pictured.

He said:“I am releasing this E-fit image in connection with an appeal for any witnesses to this assault, or anyone who has any information in relation to it to come forward.

“Thankfully the victim did not sustain any injuries in relation to this incident, but it was still a terrifying experience to have been robbed at knife point.
