This operation comes after wider work from the local police force against illegal e-scooters and e-bikes over the last 12 months.

In this time, education has been provided to the public in community forums, pop up events, and other engagements within the community.

Signage has also been put up in popular locations, providing information around the use of illegal e-scooter/e-bikes and the consequences of riding them.

The crackdown over the last 12 months has seen 146 e-scooter/e-bikes, multiple arrests for a mixture of offences and extra high visibility patrols in areas affected by e-scooter/e-bike usage.

A spokesperson from Thames Valley Police said: “The aim is clear, if you are seen riding an illegal e-scooter or e-bike we will seize it and it will be destroyed.”
