Officers reported yesterday (Monday) they had arrested three men and a woman in connection with an assault on the V9 on Sunday evening.But no victim had come forward and police were keen to trace him.

Today a police spokesman said: "We can confirm that the victim has now been identified. His injuries are not serious and he suffered bruising as a result of the assault."

The three men arrested are aged 38, 43 and 46, while the woman is 25. All come from Milton Keynes and have now been released under investigation.

Police are continuing their investigation into the incident.

They are asking anybody who may have seen the assault or has any information to call 101 or report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
