'Racist' children threatening and insulting people outside Central Milton Keynes rail station

Police are investigating complaints about gangs of children as young as 14 using racially abusive language outside CMK station.

Witnesses say the youngsters are hanging about making racist comments and throwing items at passers-by.

They are also making repeated attempts to threaten and intimidate members of the public who are "innocent" and simply going about their daily business, say officers.

A police spokesman said: "Officers looking into this matter would like to reiterate that incidents of this nature will not be tolerated."

He added: "Anybody identified being abusive, threatening or anti-social, particularly if targeting people due to race, sexuality, gender or religious beliefs (as well as other protected characteristics) will be dealt with robustly."

Police have launched extra patrols in the area and are urging anybody anyone suffering this type of abuse to come forward and speak to them.
