And their efforts were rewarded by someone letting down the tyre on their car, which then had to be collected by a recovery firm.
Officers launched a Sunday afternoon patrol of Olney recreation ground, where there is a Public Space Protection order banning alcohol, fires, barbeques and camping.

Hide Ad"There must have been about 200 people there, 100 on each field," said a police spokesman.
The majority of people were spoken to and many said they didn't stop to read the protection order sign as they entered the rec.
"We extinguished six BBQs, seized alcohol cans and poured at least 12 bottles of alcohol away," said the spokesman.
Police also gave people the opportunity to put unopened bottles of alcohol back in their cars.

Hide AdBut when officers returned to their own car, which they had parked nearby, they found a flat tyre.
"It looked like the air pressure had been let out," said the spokesman, who thanked recovery firm CMG for "coming to the rescue".
Officers had visited the same area the previous day, Saturday, and issued similar warnings.
Police also patrolled Hanslope recreation ground over the weekend but reported no anti-social behaviour.
