Sentimental items stolen in burglary

The mother of a late six-year-old girl has been devastated by thieves who stole items that can’t be replaced.

Between March 11 and April 15, thieves got into Lynsey Needham’s home which was being renovated in Elthorne Way, Newport Pagnell and stole a bag, given by funeral directors containing a silver bracelet with ‘daughter’ engraved inside, a lock of their daughter Tia’s hair tied with a pink ribbon, bereavement cards and a gold cross on a chain.

Lynsey said: “We took the kids away while the work was being done. When we got back on the Sunday I was looking around to see what had been done and went to get Tia’s things and noticed her urn was on the floor.

“I knew in my head the gift bag was missing because it’s usually in there.

“These aren’t just things that can be replaced by insurance, we can’t replace these things. The bracelet was a gift from my mum for Tia’s christening. I don’t know what motivation these people have. We just want them back.”

Tia passed away just 12 weeks ago after battling a brain tumour for eight months
