The district nurses, who have all worked harder than ever during the Covid crisis, finished their shifts to find they were unable to drive home.

All the attacks have happened over the past two months, late in the evenings. One of the latest involved a metal screw deliberately being inserted into the tyre.

Police are now working with the hospital and West Bletchley Parish Council to provide better lighting and CCTV in the car park.

This week the parish council donated personal attack alarms to help the nurses feel more secure.

A police spokesman said tonight: "Thames Valley Police has had over 10 reports in a two month period of vehicles having their tyres damaged whilst being parked at the Community Hospital in Whalley Drive.

"These deliberate acts are having a significant impact on the staff and nurses working tirelessly through this pandemic. We are working with the hospital & West Bletchley parish council to prevent further damages.
