The move follows a spate of thefts from vans parked up all over Milton Keynes in recent weeks.

Many happen at during the night, when the van owners are asleep. And the crooks usually lever open the doors, causing hundreds of pounds of damage.

Last night police responded to a van break-in in New Bradwell and found a number of power tools had been stolen.

Enquiries are ongoing but a police spokesman said: "Please remember not to leave valuables in your vehicles. Use stickers to inform would be thieves of this. Prevention is better than cure."
