Teenager taken to hospital after being chased and beaten with a rounders bat in Milton Keynes park

An 18-year-old needed hospital treatment after he was chased and hit several times with a wooden rounders bat.

The victim was in Howe Wood Park in Tattenhoe. when the assault happened at around 4.15pm on Sunday.

Police are now appealing for witnesses.

The victim was hit several times with the bat, say officers, and this resulted in "serious" injuries to his elbow that required treatment at Milton Keynes University Hospital.

Investigating officer PC Lee Newton, based at Milton Keynes Police station said: “This incident took place in a park where others were present and may have witnessed it.

“If you have any information that might help with our investigation, please get in touch.

A 16 year old boy from Tattenhoe was arrested on suspicion of assault with injury and has since been released on bail.
