A terrorism awareness event will take place on Wednesday from 6-7.30pm at Kents Hill Training & Conference Centre.
Thames Valley Police is leading the event in partnership with SaferMK; it will bring together community groups, volunteers, front line community workers and agencies, as well as offering an opportunity to ask questions and discuss thoughts on any future initiatives that could be run for all age groups across Milton Keynes.
This event will provide;
*General community vigilance and an awareness of suspicious activity;
*Details on how to report concerns and what happens with your information;
*Real examples of how terrorist activity has been stopped due to information from communities;
*An introduction to what attracts individuals to all forms of extremism;
*An explanation of the MK Channel Panel and how it supports individuals at risk of radicalisation;
*Information surrounding the threat of ISIS and the risk of travel to Syria and Iraq;
*This event will bring together community groups, volunteers, front line community workers and agencies. There will be an opportunity to ask questions and discuss thoughts on any future initiatives we could run for all age groups across Milton Keynes.
