This is the bizarre chainmail armour worn by Milton Keynes' knife-loving murderer Lee Sopp

Police have today released pictures of the chainmail top, together with the huge knife 25-year-old Sopp used to kill Mohamud Hashi.

The young drug dealer, who killed to protect his 'turf', was today sentenced to serve a minimum of 30 years in prison. See the court case here .

He also carried a Samurai sword around in a guitar case with the words “Sosa’s revenge” on it, and he told the court: "I just like weapons".

Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Mike Roddy, of the Major Crime Unit, said: “Today Sopp has been sentenced for fatally stabbing Mohamud Hashi and he will now spend a significant time in prison.

“As this case has highlighted, carrying weapons can have tragic consequences.

“Thames Valley Police will always tackle violent crimes of this nature and deal with offenders robustly."

DI Roddy added: “If you believe you have information about anyone who carries a weapon please report it to Thames Valley Police online or by calling 101. You can also make reports anonymously to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
