A man who carried out three robberies and a number of thefts in the Fishermead area of Milton Keynes has been sentenced to four years in prison.

Aylesbury Crown Court heard how Darren Hand of Towan Avenue, Fishermead, stole mobile phones, cash and valuables between June and August this year.

He carried out his robberies in Springfield Boulevard, Porthleven Place and Towan Avenue, targeting lone victims.

PC Shay Harper, investigating, said: “Hand used violence and the threat of violence to rob people for relatively small quantities of cash.

“While the amount of money he gained from these crimes was not large, the impact on his victims was substantial and the streets of Fishermead will be safer without him.”
