Three violent crimes, five race hate crimes and 22 domestic offences reported in past 24 hours in Milton Keynes

An insight onto 24 hours of policing in MK has listed more than 40 crimes reported since yesterday morning.

There has been one report of a residential burglary, at Chervil on Beanhill, and two street robberies in Ramsons Avenue, Conniburrow and Sheelin Grove, Bletchley.

Members of the public have also reported 22 domestic crimes and incidents. These range from allegations of rap and assaults to criminal damage, coercive control and stalking.

There have also been two reports of sexual offences/rape and these are being investigated by CID.

Police have also been alerted to five new race/hate crimes and these include public order and malicious communications offences.

There have been three reports of violent crime causing actual bodily harm. Investigations for these are ongoing and a number of suspects are held in custody at this time, say police.

Early turn officers also have started their shift with five ongoing missing persons investigations and two unauthorised encampments to deal with.

Five people are in custody this morning. They are being held on suspicion of offences including domestic assaults, possession of a firearm, theft of a motor vehicle and obstruct police.

Meanwhile officers are dealing with three reports for non-compliance of Covid-related matters in MK.

There are also 36 open jobs that officers need to attend and 18 new reported crimes for the Smarter Resolution Team to follow up with victims today.
