POLICE are hunting a man who inappropriately touched a woman while she slept on a train travelling home to Milton Keynes.
British Transport Police have released an image of the man, pictured, in connection to the attack which took place on Monday, September 26 last year.
DC Tony Ferris, the investigating officer, said: “The victim, a 32-year-old from Milton Keynes had been sleeping on her journey and awoke to find that she was being touched inappropriately by a man sat next to her.
“The victim got up and moved away from the man for the rest of the journey until she left the service at Milton Keynes, when police were informed.”
Officers have carried out a number of enquiries into this incident, including speaking to passengers and regulars at the station, carrying out anniversary visits, viewing hours of CCTV and circulating images on police intelligence systems but to no avail.
Police are now calling on the public to attempt to identify the man.
DC Ferris added: “Whilst the victim was not physically injured, this was a very traumatic assault and we are treating the incident very seriously. If you have any information about the incident, please contact us.
“I also believe the man pictured in the CCTV image may have crucial information in relation to the incident and am appealing for him to come forwrd.”
