Thames Valley Police said it was called to the incident in North Ninth Street on Saturday night (October 24) at around 11.35pm.

Officers said the victim, who is in his thirties, sustained facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.

TVP said a 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment, robbery, section 18 wounding with intent and assault by beating of an emergency worker.

Officers also said a 30-year-old man from Milton Keynes was arrested on suspicion of robbery, section 18 wounding with intent and assault by beating of an emergency worker.

Police said both men have been released on police bail.
