Officers investigating a robbery in Newport Pagnell have made two arrests.

An 18-year-old man from Milton Keynes was arrested on Saturday, December 19, on suspicion of robbery and has been released on police bail.

Another 18-year-old man from Woburn has also been on suspicion of robbery today (Monday) and he remains in police custody.

The arrests are in connection with an incident at around 7.10pm on Saturday, December 12, when a 17-year-old boy was assaulted and had his mobile phone and bag stolen near to Tickford Street Convenience Store, in Newport Pagnell.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Siobhan Jones, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “We have now made two arrests, and I am appealing to anybody who may have information about the incident, who have not yet contacted police, to please get in touch by calling 101, quoting reference number 43200421380.

“Alternatively, you can make a report online or for 100% anonymity, call the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
