The pair, who wore dark clothing and balaclavas, struck while the mum was parked up close to Summerfield School on Bradwell Common.

"One had his hand in his pocket, possibly on a knife, and they aggressively tried to open the car doors," said a friend of the family.

"They banged on the doors and windows for the mum to open the doors while her child was screaming in the back... It was like in a gangster movie...

The shaken mum drove off and the men ran into the redway alongside Dansteed Way.

Members of the Bradwell Common community have this week criticised police for seemingly taking no action over the incident, which happened last Wednesday.

"The police simply told the mum to park elsewhere and did absolute nothing. They did not even visit her, and didn't ask people for CCTV or dashcam footage," claimed the friend.

Considering how many children walk from school or Stantonbury and Summerfield after school clubs down the redways and those streets, it is shocking."

Residents say crime on Bradwell Common is soaring and drug dealing is allegedly taking place close to Summerfeild school.

"Dealers sometimes fight, some have sex in cars with clients where children can see them and then throw condoms into the gardens. Many cars have been broken into, yet the police, according to the victims,do nothing." claimed one.

She added: "On the redway at the bottom of Stokenchurch place, by the stone stairs, teenagers take drugs. Some young men even light spoons and possibly take heroin. They go into Bradwell Common and look into cars to see what they can take.

"A school bus from outside of MK has changed its stop and now stops closer to Bradwell Common instead of on the opposite side so that the children and parents have a shorter walk to safety and don't have to go under the bridge.

"The area is unrecognisable yet the police do nothing considerable and people feel very vulnerable and scared...It is an escalating problem that needs action and not indifference."
