Why police are at Asda supermarket in Milton Keynes today

The Thames Valley Police 'Positive Action and Engagement team' has been at Asda in Bletchley for the past couple of hours as part of a force-wide recruitment exercise.
A spokesman said: "Policing really is a job like no other. It’s much more than blue lights and fast cars. It’s protecting the vulnerable when they need you most. It’s working in partnership to tackle serious and organised crime and it’s making critical decisions that will change lives forever.

The force offers a basic salary plus benefits including a pension scheme, South-East living allowance, holiday entitlement and childcare vouchers.
