Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an attempted robbery on Monday.

The victim was walking in MK2 car park – between North Row and Silbury Boulevard – at 6pm. He was approached by two men who threatened him and demanded money.

A car park attendant approached the victim and the offenders ran off towards the Conniburrow overbridge.

The first offender is described as white, aged 20, 6ft, of slim build. He has mousey hair and was wearing a navy outdoor jacket.

The second offender is described as about 5ft 10ins, of slim build. He was wearing a hooded top and a scarf covering his face. He was wearing dark tracksuit bottoms with white stripes down the sides.

Detective Constable Greg Hughes, investigating officer, said: “It is believed that the men were waiting in the area and so we would like to speak to anyone in the car park at that time who may have seen the offenders hanging around.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Det Con Hughes on the non-emergency number 101.

If you don’t want to speak directly to the police you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or online at crimestoppers-uk.org. No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
