Police are appealing for witnesses after a robbery at the Betfred store in Queensway, Bletchley on Tuesday.

A member of staff at the store was forced to open the safe during the robbery at 9.50pm and the thief then stole cash and ran out of the store.

The man was slim and about 5ft 11ins. He had his face covered and was wearing a dark grey hooded top with a black jacket underneath and blue jeans. He was also carrying a dark coloured bag.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable Leanne Shepherd, is appealing for anyone who saw a man matching the above description outside the Betfred store on Tuesday evening, to come forward.

She said: “There is a Barclays bank branch next door so people were pulling up outside to use the cash machine and there were pedestrians in the area. Any piece of information may be crucial to our investigation.”

Any witnesses can call police on 101.
