Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses after a snatch theft on Tuesday morning.

At 10.15am, a 42-year-old man was withdrawing money from Lloyds bank cash machine on Silbury Boulevard, when a girl approached him and asked him to look at a newspaper. The victim told the girl to go away and she stood back for a moment. She then pushed the newspaper into the victims face, blocking the cash machine screen and stole £200 from the cash machine dispenser. The offender ran away to a black car, possibly a BMW, and drove away towards the library.

The offender is described as being Eastern European, aged between 12 and 15-years-old, 5ft tall, slim, with medium length black hair. She was wearing a jacket with a hood and grey pyjama-style trousers.

Any witnesses can call police on 0845 8 505 505 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111
