Officers are appealing for a specific witness in connection with the investigation

Police investigating a rape in Milton Keynes are appealing for a specific witness to come forward.

On Tuesday, June 2, between 11pm and 11.15pm, the victim, a woman in her 20s, was raped in a black car in the car park at the bottom of Hartley, Great Linford.

Shortly before this, the driver pulled into The Green off High Street and parked by the yellow bollards.

Investigating officer, Detective Constable John Swallow, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “Whilst the victim and driver were parked in The Green, a white horse and rider passed them.

"I am appealing for this rider to come forward as they may have information that could help our investigation.

A 41-year-old man from Milton Keynes was arrested on suspicion of rape and assaulting a female over 13 by penetration. He has since been released on bail.
