Woman raped in car park by Milton Keynes pub

A woman was raped in a car park on Tuesday night close to a Milton Keynes pub.

It was reported that the woman in her 20s left The Eagle public house in Eaglestone at around 10.20pm on Tuesday, February 3.

She then encountered two men she did not know in the vicinity of the car park. She was assaulted, before running back to near the entrance of the pub where she was met by a friend.

Police are currently investigating the circumstances around the report and appealing for anyone with information that may assist the investigation.

Det Insp Ian Jarvis of Milton Keynes Force CID said: “The report of rape is always taken extremely seriously by Thames Valley Police and investigated thoroughly.

“The victim is understandably distressed and we are investigating the report with the sensitivity and care the circumstances require. She has been attended by specially trained officers.

“At this stage our officers are still gathering information to establish what exactly has taken place and we would encourage any members of the public who have information they feel may be relevant, to contact the police as soon as possible.”

He added: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the vicinity of the car park that serves The Eagle pub and shops nearby, especially between the hours of 10.20pm and 11.00pm on Tuesday night, to contact us.

“If anyone was in the car park at that specific time, we would like to hear from you as you may have information that can assist our investigation, even if you do not feel what you saw looked particularly suspicious or out of the ordinary.

“Should any local residents be concerned, please do approach any of our neighbourhood team officers who will be able to offer assistance and reassurance.”

Anyone with information should contact DS Jason Simpson or Det Insp Ian Jarvis of Milton Keynes Force CID, via the Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
