A 25-year-old man has been jailed for just over six months for two charges of assault, both on security guards in Milton Keynes on March 3 this year.

Jake Mulane, who lives in Fishermead, pleaded not guilty to the charges but was found guilty by MK magistrates.

They sentenced him to a total of 26 weeks in prison.

Court papers state the offences involved "attacks on security guards in a Covid situation."

They add: "Biting and breaking the skin in a Covid situation is a serious aggravating factor" and said Mulane returned the followed day to commit another assault on the same security guard.

Mulane was ordered to pay a surcharge of £128 to fund victim services.
